Do You Have A Construction Project We Can Help With?
Safety is one of the pillars on which our culture is founded…
Fortune is wholly committed to the assurance of health and safety for its employees, our clients, other stakeholders, the public, and the environment. The safeguarding of workers from injury and occupational hazards is our first priority and continuing objective. We are committed to the goal of an incident-free workplace and strive to uphold the highest standards of care and due diligence in everything we do.
We are especially proud of our robust safety programs and the numerous safety awards we have achieved along the way. Fortune strives to create a safe work environment by reducing risk tolerance. Safety and risk assessments are a core part of our safety program and are completed on all projects. Each job begins with a kick-off meeting to review the site-specific safety plan developed by the project manager. This plan summarizes potential work hazards and identifies preventative measures.
Through the identification and control of hazards, the frequency and severity of accidents are reduced. Our job sites are regularly inspected by our corporate safety officer and project managers.
Our commitment to a safe work environment means that Fortune’s safety policy holds our employees and contractors to the highest of standards. We are responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a safety program that benefits our project team, contractors, and the public. Through regulatory compliance, constant communication, and training initiatives, an accident-free workplace is a possibility. Fortune maintains accreditation with the Saskatchewan and Alberta Construction Safety Associations.
We maintain our COR with internal and external auditors and a full-time Fortune HSE officer. We are a part of ISNetworld and Complyworks. We carry W.C.B for the provinces in which we work, but at a minimum, we always carry W.C.B. for Saskatchewan and Alberta.
